Public Trap Shooting

Come enjoy an evening of trap shooting! All shooting will be supervised by a Certified Range Safety Officer and all shooters will need to bring their own gun, ammunition, and eye and ear protection. The cost to shoot will be $5 for a round of 25 targets.

Hanson Nature Center Open

The Hanson Nature Center will be open to the public. Come check out our displays, learn about our live animals, and walk the trails!

Hanson Nature Center Camp-In

Before school starts and life gets crazy, join us for an Overnight Camp-In at the Hanson Nature Center! We will learn about and meet local critters, create nature crafts, cook over a campfire, play games, stargaze while walking through the prairie at night, and eat popcorn while watching a movie, all before a cozy sleepover. What better way to end the summer! For grades 3rd-5th, in conjunction with NIACC. Cost is $15/child and registration is through NIACC. (The Camp-In will run from 5:00 PM Friday until 10:00 AM Saturday.)

Blank Park Zoo Visit

Come meet some fascinating animals when the Blank Park Zoo visits the Hanson Nature Center! (Exact animals won't be known until closer to program time.)
