Susan Watson of Minneapolis was the winner of the Stony Lake Cabin Raffle! The raffle raised $4,300 for the new Hanson Nature Center. Ms. Watson will now be able to enjoy a weeklong getaway on Stony Lake, thanks to the generosity of Steve and Nancy Westerberg of Forest City, who very graciously donated the use of their cabin for the raffle. We want to thank everyone who bought a ticket and helped to make this fundraiser a success! (You can check out the recording of the live, on-air drawing on our Facebook page.)

The County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year County tax asking as follows:

At the public hearing any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of the proposed tax levy. After the hearing of the proposed tax levy,the Board will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed county budget.
