The Lake Catherine Cabin at Thorpe Park is now closed for the winter. It will reopen in the spring, although the exact date will be determined by weather and road conditions. But, we are taking reservations for 2025.

The County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year County tax asking as follows:
Meeting Date: 3/24/2026 Meeting Time: 11:00 AM Meeting Location: Winnebago County Supervisors Office 126 South Clark St. Forest City, IA 50436
At the public hearing any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of the proposed tax levy. After the hearing of the proposed tax levy,the Board will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed county budget.
