Road Department Properties Scheduled for Auction

Progress continues on a new Winnebago County shop two miles north of Forest City.  Restoration work is also in progress at the newly dug gravel pits at Sunnyside Farm five miles west of Forest City.  The new facility will replace the existing shop and storage facilities south of the Forest City Light Plant as well as the 79 acre Sunnyside Farm.  The old facilities and farmland will be sold by online auction with the following tenative schedule:

• Official advertisements - Late-July, 2025

• Open House for Shops - August 11, 2025 - 1-3pm

• Auction Closing Date:  September 10, 2025

  All 3 auctions will utilize 3 minute soft close:

  • Farmland - 3pm

  • Shops - 5pm

  • Salt Sheds - 7pm
