Maintenance & Equipment Operator, Winnebago County Road Department – Lake Mills, IA

Part-Time Director – Early Childhood North Central Iowa

The Early Childhood North Central Iowa Board, which serves Emmet, Kossuth, Palo Alto, and Winnebago County’s children and families zero to five years old, is seeking a part time director.

The Early Childhood North Central Iowa Board has four priorities:

  • Secure and nurturing environments for children
  • Children will be school ready
  • Quality childcare will be accessible to all families
  • Healthy children

The ECNCI Director position requires strong leadership, managerial, and administrative skills to ensure the ECNCI board follows Iowa Code, Administrative Rules and Early Childhood of Iowa rules and procedures. Knowledge of board responsibilities, Early Childhood of Iowa, and healthy child development is also important to possess for this job.

This part time job has a variable schedule that is somewhat seasonal due to state timelines. It is a salaried position with both FICA and IPERS as benefits. The new hire will begin around May 3rd and will receive two months of direct training under the current director.  They will become the official ECNCI Director on July 1st and receive two more months of training from current director.

Job requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable experience
  • Three to five years of management experience desired
  • Experience in community planning and collaboration with other agencies
  • Proficient with technology including: computer, websites, Zoom, Facebook, etc.
  • Critical thinking, articulate speaker, and experience working with diverse viewpoints
